Stock Android 7.1.1 Nougat 38.3.A.0.41 firmware released for Xperia X


Sony Xperia X received it’s first Android 7.1.1 Nougat update concept program. Sony is the first non Nexus manufacturer to seed the Android 7.1.1 N update to it’s device, If you are already registered with Sony Experiment track update then you are eligible for the Nougat OTA. The Android 7.1.1 Nougat for Xperia X carries build number 38.3.A.0.41 with Android build as NMF26F8.

The update brought new interesting features for your Xperia X including, now you can play PlayStation 4 games on your device by using PS4 remote Play, Restart option is added in Power menu, camera tweaks and latest security patch, dated Dec 1, 2016. We have put some screenshots of the 38.3.A.0.41 update for Xperia X where it is clearly seen the changes made in the firmware.

The Android 7.1.1 Nougat 38.3.A.0.41 firmware is live via OTA and you will be receiving the update anytime soon or simple give a manual check for the OTA, go to Settings >> About device >> Software updates. The regular Android 7.1.1 update will start in a couple of weeks. Still devices from other manufacturers are in the waiting list to see their first Android 7.1.1 build but today Sony seems to be the winner in the Nougat race.

Download the Concept for Android App from Google Play here and install it on your device.

Open the app and follow the onscreen instructions to join the program.

Once you are registered your devices gets enrolled in the program and will get the update soon.

Make sure to back up your important data on device as the OTA will wipe your device.
