As promised HTC started rolling out official Nougat update for HTC 10. The update is first heading towards Developers Edition HTC 10 devices, the Nougat firmware carries software version 2.28.617.8 and size 1.11 GB. If you own a Developer’s Edition HTC 10 then you are eligible for the Nougat update. Although HTC has took start from the Developers Edition devices but we hope it will soon hit other devices as well.
The Android 7.0 Nougat update for HTC 10 is rolling out via OTA and will knock at your device anytime soon, However you can also flash the firmware manually but you have to wait a while until we managed to grab the Android 7.0 Nougat 2.28.617.8 firmware for your device. How to update Android 7.0 Nougat 2.28.617.8 firmware on HTC 10
This is the first and preferably the most easiest method to update your device, you can use your device to download the firmware file if available and then the device will ask you to install the updates now or later. To check whether your device is eligible for OTA Firmware update, unlock your device & navigate to
Settings >> About device >> Software update >> Check for updates
This will require a working internet connection to connect to the servers. You will receive a notification about the latest firmware availability click install to flash the firmware or tap install later to flash the latest update anytime later.
Note: The Android 7.0 Nougat firmware for HTC 10 update link will soon be available as a flashable file and there you will be able to install it manually, this method would be helpful if you are not getting the OTA notification so stay connected.
