Install Stock Marshmallow update on LG G4 H815 using TWRP custom recovery


In this guide we are going to install Stock Android 6.0 Marshmallow for LG G4 H815 using TWRP recovery. We are again writing this tutorial for your ease and the purpose of this guide is to install Stock Android 6.0 Marshmallow for LG G4 using TWRP recovery in case if you are facing difficulty with the installation process of Marshmallow KDZ files using LG Flashtool. All you need is to download the stock firmware components in zip format from the below provided link and install it using TWRP recovery (the TWRP recovery installation link is also mentioned). How to install Stock Marshmallow update on LG G4 using TWRP custom recovery

Before you Begin:

  • LG USB drivers
  • Please ensure your phone battery should be charged at minimum 60%
  • Your device should have a working TWRP installed or download TWRP recovery from this link and install it using this guide.

Download these 4 Stock Marshmallow firmware components:

Process to install Stock Marshmallow update on LG G4 using TWRP custom recovery

Connect your device to PC via USB cable and copy the above downloaded 4 Marshamallow zip files on your device storage.

Now disconnect your device and turn it off completely.

Boot into TWRP custom recovery mode by using hardware keys combination or using any third party app (Mostly found in Play store).

Once your device enters into TWRP recovery, create a Nandroid backup of your device or follow our guide to create a Nandroid backup (this will create a backup of your complete device including current firmware) if something goes wrong you can restore your previous firmware.

Once the Nandroid process completes, tap on “Wipe” and then swipe the slider from left to right to begin the wipe process (This will reset your device to factory)

Now it’s the time to flash the Marshmallow firmware components in your device. Choose install and navigate to the folder in which you have copied the ROM components.

Now select the and Swipe across the slider to confirm install.

Wait for a few minutes till the file is completely installed in your device (The installation will take some time as its the system file)

Once done with the above step, now apply the same process with the installation of

Once done, now go on and apply the same process with the rest 2 files, (modem and bootloader).

Once you fully done with installation process, just reboot your device.
