Install Marshmallow Android 6.0 on Oppo Find 7a/s [Unofficial CyanogenMod 13]


Unofficial CyanogenMod 13 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow is now available for Oppo Find 7a/s. The Android 6.0 Marshmallow based AOSP ROMs are being built on daily basis for several devices, now Oppo Find 7 is going to taste the unofficial CM13 port with all the latest features from the latest firmware. The Stock firmware Android 6.0 Marshmallow is already released for Nexus devices but other devices belonging to different manufacturers are still in the waiting list

Developers have modified the source code and developed multiple custom ROMs for the devices whether in the list of devices going to receive the stock marshmallow update or not. We have posted guides on the AOSP builds for several other devices, you can have an overview of them and in this guide we are going to use the same process. Just go ahead and install the latest firmware Android 6.0 Marshmallow on your Oppo Find 7a/s.


How to install Android 6.0 Marshmallow on Oppo Find 7a/s with CyanogenMod 13

Before you Begin:

Disclaimer: This tutorial includes multiple operations including Custom Rom, custom recovery etc. Follow the guide on your own risk, we are not responsible if you brick or damage your device however the chances of bricking a device are rare but you have to pay full attention on the complete guide to avoid any issues and difficulties while performing any of the above mentioned operation.


  • Please ensure your phone battery should be charged at minimum 80%
  • Download Oppo USB drivers
  • Your device should have a working TWRP recovery. If you didn’t, download TWRP recovery from this link and install it using the process used in this guide.

Process to install Android 6.0 Marshmallow with CM13 on Oppo Find 7a/s

Connect your device to your PC and copy the both ROM and google apps zip files onto your device storage.

Turn of your device and boot into TWRP custom Recovery menu by the hardware keys combination or using any third party app (Mostly found in Play store).

Once your device enters into TWRP recovery, create a Nandroid backup of your device or follow our guide to create a Nandroid backup (this will create a backup of your complete device including current firmware) if something goes wrong you can restore your previous firmware.

Once the Nandroid process completes, tap on “Wipe” and then swipe the slider from left to right to begin the wipe process (This will reset your device to factory)

Now it’s the time to flash the CM13 firmware in your device. Choose install and navigate to the folder in which you have copied the ROM zip file

Swipe across the slider to confirm install, wait for a few minutes till the file is completely installed in your device.

Once done with the above step, now apply the same process with the installation of CM13 Gapps.

Wait for the installation process to complete.

Once completed Reboot your device.

If your device is taking longer then 7-10 minutes then follow this guide to to fix this issue

    Muy buenas, he flasheado la rom bien, pero al salir por reeboot, se me queda en Fasboot y de ahí no paso. He intentado el meter de nuevo un recovery a traves de un instalador y nada no me deja hacer nada, vamos que ahora no arranca la Rom, siempre se queda en la pantalla de Fasboot.

    Por favor, ayudadme en alguna solución.
