Install C-Apps on CyanogenMod ROMs (Dialer, Gallery, Theme Chooser, AudioFx)


C-apps stands for Cyanogen Apps, you might have heard about the word Gapps which stands for Google Apps. Cyanogen OS apps C-apps work same like Gapps which you need to flash after installing AOSP ROM. C apps contain specific apps which are not inlcuded in the CyanogenMod ROM including AudioFX, Theme Chooser, Themes Store, Gallery, Email, Dialer with truecaller and Cyanogen Account.

The CyanogenMod and Cyanogen OS are almost same, the Cyanogen OS is pre-installed on retail devices where as CyanogenMod is a third party Custom ROM. This is the first time Cyanogen OS let the users of CyanogenMod to give access to full Cyanogen apps by flashing recovery flashable package. If you are running on any CM ROM you can access the above mentioned C-apps, you can also create a Cyanogen Account as well. Your device must have a working TWRP or CWM recovery installed to flash the C-apps package.

How to install C-Apps on your Android device running CyanogenMod ROM

Download the C-Apps package from this link

Connect your device to your PC and copy the C-apps zip package onto your device storage.

Turn of your device and boot into TWRP custom Recovery menu by the hardware keys combination or using any third party app (Mostly found in Play store).

Once your device enters into TWRP recovery, create a Nandroid backup of your device or follow our guide to create a Nandroid backup (this will create a backup of your complete device including current firmware) if something goes wrong you can restore your previous firmware.

Once the Nandroid process completes, now it’s the time to flash the C-apps on your device. Choose install and navigate to the folder in which you have copied the C-apps zip file

Swipe across the slider to confirm install, wait for a few minutes till the file is completely installed in your device.

Once completed Reboot your device.

That’s it! You have successfully installed Cyanogen OS apps (C-apps) on your Android device. Now go to your app drawer there you will find new apps present in there.
