Install Android 6.0 Marshmallow on LG G3 D850, D855 and D858HK


In this you will be able to install Android 6.0 Marshmallow on LG G3 including variants, D850, D855 and D858HK. The ROM is a Nexus 6 ported ROM and is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, thanks to the TeamJB for providing LG G3 with the taste of Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The ROM includes all the features of Android 6.0 M and is not an official release but maximum features are working fine. The official Android 6.0 M release will take some time to hit different compatible devices but till then it’s a good choice to install Android 6.0 M custom firmware on your LG G3.

How to install Android 6.0 Marshmallow on LG G3 D850, D855 and D858HK

Please ensure your phone battery should be charged at minimum 80%

Download and install latest USB drivers

Your device should have a working TWRP recovery installed.

Download Android 6.0 Lollipop build specified for your LG G3 from the below provided links

Download Android 6.0 Marshmallow ROM

Process to install Android 6.0 Marshmallow on LG G3

Turn of your device and boot into custom Recovery menu by the hardware keys combination or using any third party app (Mostly found in Play store).

Once your device enters into recovery, create a Nandroid backup of your device or follow our guide to create a Nandroid backup (this will create a backup of your complete device including current firmware) if something goes wrong you can restore your previous firmware.

Once the Nandroid process completes, navigate and select wipe data/factory reset.(this will erase your data)

Now it’s the time to flash the Android 6.0 M ROM on your device. Choose “install zip from sdcard” >> choose zip from sdcard & navigate to the folder in which you have copied the custom file and select it.

Select “yes” to confirm install, wait for a few minutes till the file is completely installed in your device.

Once completed, reboot your device.

    Neither v1 or v2 will flash on my d850. I did a complete wipe, anyone else having problems?

    the 858hk not have TWRP!
