Please ensure your phone battery should be charged at minimum 80%

Download and install latest LG USB drivers

Your device should have a working CWM or TWRP recovery installed.

Download the CM12.1 Android 5.1.1 Lollipop zip files according to your carrier

Process to install Android 5.1.1 Lollipop on LG G2 via CM12.1 ‘Nightly’ Custom ROM

Just follow these simple steps to flash Android 5.1.1 Lollipop firmware on your LG G2

Connect your LG G2 to your PC and copy the downloaded specified ROM zip file along Google Apps according to your device model on the internal storage of your device.

Now turn of your device and boot into Custom Recovery menu by the hardware keys combination or using any third party app (Mostly found in Play store).

Once your device enters into recovery Mode, create a Nandroid backup of your device or follow our guide to create a Nandroid backup (this will create a backup of your complete device including current firmware) if something goes wrong you can restore your previous firmware.

Once the Nandroid process completes, navigate and select wipe data/factory reset.(this will erase your data)

Now it’s the time to flash the CM12.1 ROM on your device. Choose “install zip from sdcard” >> choose zip from sdcard & navigate to the folder in which you have copied the custom file and select it.

Select “yes” to confirm install, wait for a few minutes till the file is completely installed in your device.

Once done with the above step, now apply the same process with the installation of Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Gapps.

Wait for the installation process to complete. The first boot up may take 5-7 minutes.
