Luckily root package is now available for Google’s latest Pixel devices, thanks to Chainfire’s SuperSU systemless root package. The Developers at Chainfire had this challenging task to get root access on devices with completely different build, by the way different build means, the devices has changed partitions structure including feature two system, two boot, two vendor, zero recovery, and zero cache partitions.
Finally they have made it, this time the Systemless root package for Pixel devices is not based on TWRP recovery flashable infact you need to flash the modified boot.img via adb. No need to worry as usual we are going to assist you through out the complete root tutorial to get root access on your Google Pixel devices, all you need to do is just follow the steps carefully including all the fastboot command.
How to root Pixel and Pixel XL with Chainfire Super SU(system less root)

Enable USB Debugging (Settings >> Developer Options >> USB debugging)
Your phone battery should be charged minimum 80%
Your device bootloader must be unlocked or follow this guide to unlock bootloader of Google Pixel/Pixel XL.
Download Google USB drivers.
Download and Extract adb-and-fastboot drivers.
Process to root Google Pixel and Pixel XL
Just follow the below simple steps in sequence to root Google Pixel and Pixel XL with SuperSU.
Step 1: Download and Extract the Chainfire’s SuperSU root package for Pixel and Pixel from the link provided below.
and copy and paste the SuperSU 2.78 SR2 in the adb-and-fastboot folder.
Step 2: Now connect your device to the PC using USB cable.
Step 3: Open the adb-and-fastboot folder and inside it, press SHIFT and Right-Click on an empty space inside the same folder.
Step 4: Click on Open command prompt here as shown in picture below.
Step 5: Now enter the following command to boot your device into bootloader mode,
adb reboot bootloader
Step 6: Then type the following command to root your device,
fastboot boot boot-to-root.img
Step 7: Wait for the process to complete. Your device will reboot twice so wait for the final reboot. After the reboot completed your Pixel device should be rooted.
