Xiaomi has started seeding the MIUI 8 Global State ROM to all of it’s supported devices in China and Global Market. The latest MIUI 8 firmware for Xiaomi devices is rolling out via OTA (Over The Air) for limited devices including Xiaomi Redmi 1S, Mi 2, Mi 2S, Mi 4i, Redmi Note 3G, and Redmi Note 4G and rest of devices owners will have to download the and install the firmware manually as Xiaomi have promised to release the OTA for these devices in future. But if you are getting impatient to see the latest Marshmallow firmware on your Xiaomi device then just go ahead and grab the firmware from the below provided and install it manually using stock recovery (Process mentioned below). OTA update is the first and preferably the most easiest method to update your device, you can use your device to download the firmware file if available and then the device will ask you to install the updates now or later. To check whether your device is eligible for OTA Firmware update, unlock your device & navigate to
Settings >> About device >> Software update >> Check for updates
This will require a working internet connection to connect to the Xiaomi servers. You will receive a notification about the latest firmware availability click install to flash the firmware or tap install later to flash the latest update anytime later.

Connect your device to PC and move the downloaded firmware file on your device storage.
Now disconnect and turn it off completely.
Now turn in to on gain by pressing Vol down+ Power simultaneously, until you see a list of commands performing specific tasks, including recovery, fastboot and more and choose recovery.
Once in recovery select apply update from sd-card and choose the downloaded OTA zip and flash it.
Reboot the device once completed.
