Download and Install OTA updates on Rooted Nexus 6

Enable USB Debugging (Settings >> Developer Options >> USB debugging)

Your phone battery should be charged minimum 60%

Download these files:

Download Nexus USB drivers

Download Stock System Images

Download Nexus 6 OTA System Image

Download Adb-Fastboot

Process to Install OTA updates on Rooted Nexus 6

Download the System.img files and copy it to the ADB folder.

Now download the Stock OTA firmware file and keep it some where on PC as you gonna need it later.

Now turn off the Nexus 6 and type the below command to boot into bootloader.
adb reboot bootloader

Once in bootloader mode now type the following commands. (One after the other)

fastboot erase system

fastboot flash system system.img

Reboot the device when the proces is completed and turn it off again and enter recovery mode on Nexus 6.

Once in recovery Select ‘Apply update from ADB’.

Open command prompt and flash the OTA file using this code.

adb sideload

Your device will reboot automatically.
